Speaker Head
Speaker Head is a film and installation which addresses the isolation and disconnection people experience towards each other in the transient public spaces of large cities.
The piece was shown in the Andaz Hotel and in DMY International Design Festival Berlin along side other work questioning the future of the domestic environment.
Taking the idea of domesticity to include the ability to positively relate to the community in which one lives, the film questions what the social future of our cities will be as we meet, converse and even live beside our fellow citizens in an increasingly brief and impersonal manor.
The film was shot in the year that saw cities, for the first time, house over 50% of the worlds population.
